Patchwork Place

It's often neat to watch any artist working away at their newest piece.  Rarely to we get to peek into the inner workings of the studio and enter into part of the creation.  Here you can see where Patchwork Place makes your bags and fabric art. 

These days it's all about taking old pieces and turning them into new and useful items.  Sifting through the thrift store racks we stumbled upon some textured fabric we loved.  The added features such as the pockets, and the ribbon belted waste sent creative ideas flowing through our heads. 

We have now taken an woman's suit jacket and turned it into a lovely bag just for you.  The body became the bag body, the handles are made from the sleeves turned inside out and the interior pocket is from the back lining of the jacket.   We then took a flower brooch from one of the other jackets and added some color, along with a green button from earlier said jacket.  And here are the results, we hope you love it as muchas we do.

Thanks to a fellow friend a new bag design came into being.  It's great that other's imagination can be taken and made into new bags.  We took a pattern design and trimmed it down to make it our own.  This bag can be created in custom colors, or themes.  Please email us at patchworkplacebyrduke@gmaill.com for more information of questions.
